Animate yourself in a Pixilation Film

Pixilation is a special form of stop-motion animation

Real actors are animated frame by frame and interact with animated objects at the same time. This technique makes it possible to avoid complex image compositions using software.

As in a classic film production, the workshop participants take on various roles: Directing, camera, lighting, animation and acting. They develop a script or storyboard, build sets, procure costumes and prepare the animation objects.

The biggest challenge lies in the acting: the actors have to interact precisely and believably with the animated objects around them – frame by frame.
