Pixilation is an animation technique in which actors are shot simultaneously with cut-out and object animation.
The group of participants develops a script or storyboard, builds the sets, procures costumes and animation objects and produces a pixilation film in stop motion technique.
Similar to a normal film production, various tasks such as director, cameraman, lighting technician, animator or actor are divided among the participants. The most challenging task is that of the actors, who animate themself frame by frame in stop motion and interact with animated objects around them.
