On October 4, 2022, I presented a curated selection of my internationally award-winning animated short films at the Capitol Cinema in Hann. Münden as part of the art and culture festival “DenkmalKunst – KunstDenkmal.” The event combined artistic animation with live storytelling in an entertaining infotainment format.

After four sold-out shows in Kassel, this was the first time my animation show was featured in Hann. Münden.

The program featured seven animated shorts, created during and after my studies in animation at the Art Academy in Kassel. Highlights included:

• QUEST – my Oscar®-winning stop-motion film, internationally acclaimed
• VIRTUOS VIRTUELL – an experimental animated music film that won 43 international awards
• THE SAUSAGE RUN (2021) – a 2D animated short that received:
  • Best Short Film (4–20 minutes)
  • Best European Animation at the Cortoons Gandia Festival in Spain
  • Grand Prix – Golden Kuker Award at the International Animation Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria

During the show, I spoke about the life of an independent animation artist, sharing stories about creative challenges, technical processes, and the personal ups and downs of making and releasing artistic animated films.

With original props, sketches, production materials, and behind-the-scenes footage, I gave the audience a vivid insight into my animation techniques, my artistic journey, and my educational work.

A special highlight: stories from my experience at the Academy Awards® ceremony in Hollywood.

This Animated Film Show was designed for audiences aged 11 and up, for film lovers, and for everyone curious about artistic creativity, animation, and visual storytelling.

The screening concluded with a lively discussion with the audience.
