Der Raum war fr\u00fcher als Filmsaal<\/strong> bekannt und diente in meiner Schulzeit sowohl dem Unterricht als auch Pr\u00fcfungen \u2013 ein Ort f\u00fcr ganz unterschiedliche Erfahrungen. Hier fand etwa mein geliebtes Wahlfach Filmkunde<\/strong> bei Josef Guggeis<\/strong> statt, der mein filmisches Interesse fr\u00fch f\u00f6rderte.<\/p>\n

Besonders lebendig geblieben sind mir aber die Vorf\u00fchrungen meiner eigenen Super-8-Filme<\/strong>, die ich damals als Sch\u00fcler drehte. Ganze Schulklassen wurden eingeladen<\/strong>, meine preisgekr\u00f6nten Kurzfilme zu sehen. Im Anschluss f\u00fchrten wir Gespr\u00e4che \u00fcber Inhalte, Technik und Gestaltung<\/strong> \u2013 f\u00fcr mich die ersten Erfahrungen im Pr\u00e4sentieren und Vermitteln meiner Arbeit. R\u00fcckblickend war das vielleicht der Ursprung meiner heutigen Trickfilm-Workshops.
Nicht alle Erinnerungen sind jedoch angenehm: Der Raum wurde auch f\u00fcr Pr\u00fcfungen<\/strong> genutzt \u2013 was auf andere Weise seine Spuren hinterlassen hat.<\/p>\n

Die sp\u00e4tere Umbenennung des Raumes erfolgte auf Initiative von Markus Eberl<\/strong>, Kunstlehrer am Ludwigsgymnasium. Der ehemalige Filmsaal wurde modernisiert und in einen ca. 60\u202fm\u00b2 gro\u00dfen, multifunktionalen Unterrichtsraum<\/strong> mit Tischen und Bestuhlung umgewandelt. Mein Name ist seither untrennbar mit diesem Raum verbunden \u2013 einem Ort, der f\u00fcr mich pers\u00f6nlich mit vielen Erinnerungen an fr\u00fche kreative Schritte verbunden ist.<\/p>\n

Ich legte mein Abitur 1986 am Ludwigsgymnasium Straubing<\/strong> ab und machte schon w\u00e4hrend der Schulzeit als Maler, Theaterspieler<\/strong> und Filmemacher<\/strong> auf mich aufmerksam. Ein besonderer Moment war die Freistellung durch Schulleiter Hartwig Kaunzer<\/strong>, um am World Festival of Amateur Film in Argentinien<\/strong> teilzunehmen \u2013 ein pr\u00e4gender Schritt auf meinem Weg in die professionelle Animation. Ver\u00f6ffentlicht mit freundlicher Genehmigung des Straubinger Tagblatts<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Im Jahr 2021 kehrte ich zur\u00fcck, um im Thomas-Stellmach-Saal<\/strong> einen Animations-Workshop<\/strong> mit besonders gef\u00f6rderten Sch\u00fcler*innen der Enrichment-Gruppe durchzuf\u00fchren. Begleitend dazu fanden Filmvorf\u00fchrungen meiner Werke<\/strong> f\u00fcr Schulklassen sowie eine \u00f6ffentliche Pr\u00e4sentation der Workshop-Ergebnisse<\/strong> statt \u2013 letztere, standesgem\u00e4\u00df, im Citydom-Kino Straubing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
